Pomonal Grove – Juicy Pale Ale

Named after a grove sacred to the goddess, Pomona, located near Ostia, the ancient port of Rome… this pale ale is rife with vibrant and juicy stone fruits, most notably peaches and apricots.

Built on a mixed base of pilsner and Golden Promise malts, with a varied supporting cast including: golden naked oats, flaked oats, malted oats, white wheat, and dextrin. The trio of Alora, Zumo, and Citra Cryo graced the whirlpool, as well as the dry hopping regimen. One of our new favorite yeast strains from our pals at Escarpment Labs, aptly named Pomona, threw off waves of the aforementioned stone fruit-laden aromatics/flavors to encapsulate the juiciness of this lovely beer.
