Night Mirage – Coconut Oatmeal Stout

We took our base Oatmeal Stout recipe and added a decent smack of both toasted and unsweetened coconut to provide extra body and an aromatic lift.  Built on a base of Maris Otter, with luscious oats, bits of crystal malts, and a dollop of choice roasted malts. Our favored house ale yeast strain worked its magic and rounded everything out. The aforementioned coconut was gently added at two points during fermentation and conditioning to provide a suggestion of it… not an overwhelming presence.  Simple and as advertised with this one, y’all.
