Croi na Tine – Irish Red Ale
Just in time for St. Patty's, and all the fun stuff surrounding it, we are releasing an Irish Red Ale for y'all today! The name for this beer (see pronunciation above) means "Heart of Fire" in Irish Gaelic. It just so happens to be our Head Brewer's youngest daughter's birthday today as well! She's a huge goofball that has a fierce heart & soul... as well as lots of Scots-Irish heritage to boot. Built on a base of Irish Ale malt w/ a bit of Maris Otter to add slight complexity & a very small touch of roasted barley for color. Bravo hops provide delicate balance, while a traditional Irish Ale yeast strain rounds everything out nicely. Simple, crushable, nuanced, & delicious! (We've also snapped it on the side pull tap... if y'all need more incentive...)

Eugene’s Pre Prohibition Lager - Collaboration with Eugene
Let’s be honest, the light lager has had a chokehold on the American beer industry for as long as many of us can remember. But those refreshing little crushers weren’t always what we know and love today. Before being outlawed in those dark years of Prohibition, American Lagers were bigger, bolder, and, dare I say, hoppier. A true case of immigrant ingenuity, brewers were faced with the challenge of brewing those styles they loved from across the pond using ingredients that were new and indigenous to their new homes, and they did it well. Thus, we present Eugene’s Pre-Prohibition Lager! American 6-row barley and malted corn make up most of the malt bill, helped along with some 2-row Czech style pils and Great Chit malt for added body to stand up to a formidable hop presence that you don’t see in today’s light lagers. A pint of Eugene’s Pre-Prohibition Lager harkens back to the early days of American craft beer, so settle in, take a sip, and let history repeat itself. And pet your dog while you do it

Another Happy Landing – Imperial Brown Ale with Toasted Coconut and Almonds
Hot diggity dang, y'all! Nine Mile is One Year Old today! As part of the celebration we made a doozy of a boozy ale for your eager palates... an Imperial Brown Ale w/ Toasted Coconut & Toasted Almonds. Think of an Almond Joy bar in liquid form... its full-flavored, with lovely layers! Built upon a mixed base of Maris Otter from across the pond, as well as local MN Pilsner malt from our pals over at Maltwerks, with a veritable host of specialty grains to lend layer to this robust malt backbone. Varied crystal malts interplay with some pale chocolate, brown malt, dextrin, golden naked oats, a smidge of Munich, and a bit o' of white wheat. Buckwheat honey from our buds at Bare Honey provides a boost of body & booze and gives off a wisp of earthy nuttiness . Lotus hops provide enough balance to counter the mild-to-moderate sweetness. And a beast of an English Ale yeast strain rounds everything out superbly. We also conditioned this big, bold ale on heaps of toasted coconut & a grip of toasted almonds. They each toss off loads of aromatics & flavor without being overpowering and obscuring the malt-forward presence of the whole. Large & in charge. Beguiling & sneakily smooth. Malty, toasty, nutty... bits o' baker's chocolate & light notes of toffee... and dessert-leaning tones ribboning throughout... this is a sipper worthy of a birthday party!! Come on down, imbibe some of this gem, & party with us today! Cheers & thank you all endlessly for the continued support! We've had a wonderful year & we will keep making the best beer we can for y'all to enjoy!

Phil – Pre Prohibition Porter
We dug back into a bit of the past for this one, y'all. Also known as a "Pennsylvania Porter", "Philadelphia Porter", & "East Coast Porter" this historical style has got a lil' bit of roast, a bit of toast, a smidge of sweetness, yet finishes fairly dry. Built on a mixed base of 2-row pale & 6-row malts with a varied supporting cast including: flaked corn, rye, red rye crystal, pale chocolate, & a touch of double roasted crystal. Lotus hops provide enough balance to cut through the subtle sweetness. Speaking of... we added a decent drop of molasses to augment the body, lightly boost the ABV, & have it give off wisps of depth. A nicely attenuative English Ale strain rounds it all out nicely. These Pre-Prohibition styles in general utilized whatever grains they had on hand from their own farms, of those of the surrounding area. Molasses was also a common adjunct to add as well. These particular porters were popularly brewed & consumed during Colonial America & around the Revolutionary War... hence their nicknames/monikers. Come on down and getcha some of this not very often brewed style of dark ale! Cheers!

Loral hops provide delicate balance, light tones of assorted citrus, and a smidge of noble grassiness. An expressive saison yeast strain gives off its own wisps of grapefruit and orange zest esters. Last, but certainly not least, a tiny amount of dragonfruit powder was added to turn this beer into the pink presentation you'll see in your glass.Light and spritzy with restrained expessiveness this Grisette hits a bunch of notes with a surpising amount of complexity on the palate. Shardic Expression No. 1 – Imperial Coffee Vanilla Oatmeal Stout
We are in the throes of the cold... the grip of ice... the embrace of Winter... so on & so forth. Either way you slice it, it's damn chilly outside. Enter this beast of an ale... dark, viscous, complex & layered... its got a lot going on, while having it all mesh together in a lovely fashion. Each piece, or shard if you will, has a story to tell... Built upon a big base of Maris Otter with an all-star cast covering the width & breadth of the specialty malt world to support it. Various crystal & select dark/roasted malts intertwine along with gobs of malted & flaked oats to complete this multi-faceted grist. Lotus hops provide balance & cut through the thiccccccness to make sure nothing is too cloying. Amber & dark candi syrups provide even more heft, nuance, & boost the ABV up. This massive stout was double mashed to increase the density of the whole. To further add depth to this insanity we conditioned this beer on heaps of both Mexican vanilla beans, as well as some wonderful single-origin coffee beans from our friends at Fiddlehead Coffee Co. Big, bold, & beguiling with waves of assertively smooth aromatics & flavors... this is a beer worthy of expression in your glass & for your palate. Hopefully, it'll warm up your insides as well.

A smack of demerara/turbinado sugar adds a smidge of nuance and boosts the body, while a well-extended boil lends a ton of lovely Maillard reactions to meld in layers of caramelization & elevate the mouthfeel. Bravo, HBC 630, & Cascade hops balance everything out while adding small amounts of floral & orange marmalade tones.
