Inverted Feather Double IPA

Inverted Feather Double IPA - Collaboration with Bryan Blurgenson
So, there once was a guy… let’s call him… Bryan Blurgenson. Well, Bryan got himself a Led Zeppelin tattoo of all the band members individual logos in one nice run down his leg. At the bottom was Robert Plant’s iconic feather inside a bold ring. However, the feather itself was tattooed upside down - or inverted, if you will - and no one was the wiser until it was all finished up. Needless to say, there was a few facepalms on Bryan’s part… he gave the thumbs up to the initial sketch before any ink was put to skin. Classic story… Annnnyway… to honor this silly kerfuffle we present to y’all Inverted Feather NE Double IPA!! Built on a mixed base of local MN Pilsner & Golden Promise… with heavy support from White Wheat, Malted Oats, Flaked Oats, & a touch of Acidulated malt. A large drop of Sultana hops were added to the whirlpool. A huge dry hop addition with the wonderful trio of Cashmere, Sultana, & Strata CGX lends heady notes of candied pineapple, ripe melon, mango, tangerine, & a whiff of danky dank. A classic hazy East Coast yeast strain was utilized to augment & push forth all the bold flavors/aromas while giving off stone fruit tones of its own.

Tripel Point – Trappist Style Tripel
This newest addition to our line-up is a nod to Trappist brewing traditions that are marked by diligence & exacting details. Our take on this globally-lauded style gets pretty dang close, short of being in Belgium ourselves. Built on a large, sturdy, yet delicate base of Pilsner malt…. with bits of Munich, White Wheat, & Acidulated to round out the body & add nuance. Belgian Candi Sugar was also added to boost the ABV & help dry out the back end. Loral hops provide a firm, yet approachable bitterness, as well as slight notes of noble grassiness & candied lemon. A traditional Trappist ale yeast was utilized to drive forward esters of pear, apple & mixed citrus… with super light peppery phenols present throughout. Big & bold with a fuller body… yet smooth, with a wisp of sweetness & a crisp bone dry finish. Be careful… this one will sneak up on you quickly! (Did anyone catch the math reference in the name…?)
