Something Borrowed, Something Brewed – Czech Pale Lager - Collaboration with Riley & Carrie Sowada-Yawn-White
This delightful, lovely lil' lager was brainstormed and brewed in partnership with two folks we hold dear to us here at Nine Mile. To celebrate their nuptials, we made a liquid libation! Built on a base of pilsner malt, with a touch of Carahell, for simplicity, a bit of color augmentation, and body-boosting to boot. Some choice Kazbek hops, from Czechia, were utilized for their delicate floral tones and light citrus notes, particularly lemon and lemon balm. These were used with restraint to get the aromatics to pop, but not be center stage. Last, but never least, a Czech-origin yeast strain fermented it all to a moderate dryness, with plenty of body leftover and a smidge of pleasant minerality. No frills, all thrills, y'all! This lager is snappy and effervescent with nuance enough to grab more than one pint for dang sure. Come on down and snag yourselves a pour, or more, of a beer built for celebrations of all sorts! Cheers to the newlyweds, and cheers to y'all as well!

Pineapple Passionfruit – Sour
Pineapple Passionfruit Sour Summer is slowly winding down, but we have the perfect tart treat to get y'all to the finish line before Autumn starts in earnest! Built on a base of pilsner malt, with touches of: white wheat, malted oats, and a whisper of dextrin. Estate Grown Comet hops kick off some punchy citrus to the mix, while our favored house sour yeast strain lends its puckering talents to the fold. Gobs of pineapple and passionfruit were added at the tail end of fermentation to round this sour out with tropical aplomb. Tart, punchy, and refreshing... with a lower ABV for refills and more pours. Snag of this bright libation while the heat is still here!

Workin’ Lunch – Classic Pale Ale
Sometimes you just need a reliable pint of the good stuff along with a quick lunch during a busy workday. Lo and behold, we've got the solution for you!
This classic-as-you-can-get pale ale is built on a base of Golden Promise, with a supporting cast consisting of: dextrin, light Munich, and white wheat. The duo of Estate Grown Comet and Cashmere (punchy citrus, light assorted tropical tones, and stone fruit goodness) grace the kettle additions, as well as a nice restrained dry hopping regimen. A cool co-pitch of two yeast strains gives off yet more stone fruit notes and ferments the beer to a moderate dryness with a solid body to let the hops shine.
Made for those of y'all that crave a hop-forward beer in a smaller format that also harkens back to bygone days when pale ales were more prevalent. It pairs super well with pizza... that we make here in house... just sayin'.
Cheers & Enjoy!

What do you get when you team up with a solid crew from the Great North that has nearly the same name as us? A clear and crispy lil' lager of course! We built this recipe with the ultimate refreshment in mind and in collaboration with some of the nicest dudes we've ever come across from 9 Mile Legacy Brewing out of Saskatoon, SK. Our two respective places often got mixed up on social media, Untappd, and etc. so many times we decided we should probably just make a dang beer about it! They came down here to make beer, play Crokinole, and exchange stories and wonderful conversation.Set on a simple base of Canadian pilsner malt, a touch of Canadian pale malt, and a sprinkle of Munich malt (from yup, you guessed it, Canada). Equal parts Loral and Hallertau Mittelfruh graced the kettle and a lil' whirlpool drop as well. And a lovely lager strain from our buds at Escarpment Labs out of Glueph, ON. (sensing a theme yet?) lent its attenuative talents to the fold and fermented low n' slow for many moons.Clean, clear, and delicious as all heck... it's definitely whatcha want after a long, hard day's work. Fast Eddy Hrbek – Juicy IPA - Collaboration with Ales for ALS
Named after Kent Hrbek's (local Bloomington legend & former MN Twins player) late father, Eddy. This Juicy IPA skirts the line between a Hazy IPA and a West Coast IPA... not leaning more one way than the other, rather meeting right in the middle! Soft and slightly pillowy, yet possesses a moderate bite that doesn't linger on the palate. Built on a mixed base of pilsner and IPA (yes, there is a specific malt for IPAs now... and it slaps) malts, with a supporting cast including such stalwarts as: dextrin and white wheat. A blend of choice hops (Ales for ALS Blend) was utilized (kettle, whirlpool, and dry hop stages) for its tropical-leaning talents, with backnotes of citrus and a smidge of pine. A fun and neat lil' co-pitch of two Kveik yeasts (expressive Norwegian-origin beasts of yeasts!) that further push tropical/juicy aromatics were chosen to amplify everything up a notch. If y'all can't decide on either a pint of Hazy IPA or Westy IPA, then snag some of this juicy ale and get the best of both worlds! A portion of sales from this beer will be donated to Ales for ALS to fund continuing ALS research.

The Eleventh Hour – German Style Hefeweizen
So… this beer is a lil’ late to the party, so to speak. We know y’all probably expect a Hefeweizen at the beginning of Summer… but here we are at the eleventh hour anyway releasing ours while this damn heat keeps hanging around. Built on a mixed base of pilsner and white wheat with a touch malted oats. Loral hops provide delicate balance and toss off a smidge of citrus. A traditional Hefe yeast is the star of the show here… banana and clove blend together and make each other pop. Effervescent, fruity, crisp, and fairly dry… slay the heat with this ages old banger of an ale.

Statement Of Westy – West Coast IPA
If you’re new around these parts, then there are two things you should know about us here at Nine Mile Brewing: 1) We love a good ol’ West Coast IPA, and 2) We’ll never stop until we’ve made the best around! Join us in imbibing in our latest crack at the latter, our “Statement of Westy.”Like it’s most recent predecessor, SOW is crisp, clean, and (obviously) hop-forward—but we like to play around in the kitchen and keep folks on their toes. Our malt bill got a little bit of a facelift: now featuring a base malt designed specifically for IPAs from the folks over at Gambrinus Malting to provide balanced sweetness and body that allows our hops to really shine. In the kettle, Cascade, El Dorado, and Centennial CGX hops come together to give us plenty of bite, while a hefty dry hop of Cascade, Chinook CGX, and Columbus CGX provide a classically strong nose of citrus and pine that will have you thinking you’re sipping on the West Coast. Easy drinking and perfect for any occasion, make a statement today by ordering a couple of these bad boys!

Time For Recess! – Peanut Butter Honey Banana Blonde Ale
Do you remember when recess was your favorite subject in school? And on those days when your lunch was packed with a peanut butter, honey & banana sandwich, you were livin’ your best life!! Webster’s Dictionary tells us that recess is a suspension of business or work, often for rest or relaxation. It’s the period of time between working on a project when we can just chill. Built on a mixed base of pilsner & pale malts, with a touch of white wheat for a light & slightly nuanced backbone. Bravo hops provide delicate balance while a decent smack of clover honey lends a wisp of sweetness, as well as body. Lil' additions of PB gives off aroma/flavor of itself. Last, but certainly not least, we utilized a super neat yeast strain from our pals at @omegayeast that releases fruity esters of bananas without having to add any actual bananas... science is rad! Light to medium bodied, with mild bready notes, whiffs of peanut butter, & pleasant banana tones... take a breather, an intermission from your busy day to enjoy this blonde ale and reflect on some of the best days of your life.

El Dorado, Idaho 7, and Vista hops work together to create flavors/aromas of punchy citrus, bright mango, & a hint of dank pine. As a tip of the hat & a big nod to traditional ales across the proverbial pond, we crafted up an English-Style Mild as our House Pub Ale! The malt bill is made up of 100 percent British malts. Maris Otter, Golden Naked Oats, Pale Chocolate, Crystal T-50, Dextrin, & Brown Malt meld together to offer up varied notes of toast, nuttiness, light toffee, Tootsie Rolls, & a wisp of roast.
