Kernza? Again? Yup!We’ve got another banger of a beer for y’all to ring in this…
We teamed up with our pals over at Lakes & Legends Brewing, in conjunction with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity & their House That Beer Built program, to make this delectable Juicy IPA…
Straddling the line between a New England IPA & a classic American IPA, this “Juicy IPA” drinks like both, yet retains its own unique character. A special thank you to Brewers Supply Group as well for donating all the malt & a portion of the hops for this project.
Built on a base of Rahr North Star Pils, with a supporting cast consisting of Rahr White Wheat & Weyermann Carafoam for a medium, semi-fluffy, body. The trio of Lotus, Cashmere, & Vista hops in the kettle meld together wonderfully. A decent smack of Cashmere, NZ Moutere, & Vista also round out the dry-hopping regimen. A neutral crusher of a Chico yeast lets the hops shine through brightly.
Slightly sweet, yet finishes a bit dry. The aforementioned hopping schedule gives off notes of assorted citrus, ripe melon, guava, & a smidge of herbal pine. Both sides of the fence of the eternal “which style of IPA is better” debate should find at least a bit of common ground with this tasty gem.
A dollar from every pour sold of this IPA will be donated to TC Habitat as well!
C’mon down to the taproom and snag ya’self some of this beer!
