We took our house lager, Schifdtbier, and did a riff on it to produce a zippy lil’ number that’s got a bit more going on aromatically. Enter, Gear Schifdt!
Built on a base of of 100 percent pilsner malt and hopped in the kettle with some classic Hallertau Mittelfruh. We decided to take some Chinook hops and add a smidge of a dry-hopping regimen to get some punchy fruit notes and some pine out of it to meld with the grassy notes from the aforementioned noble hops. The result is a unique aromatic experience as noble hops from across the sea aren’t typically paired up with American hop varietals very often. Our favored house lager strain capped it all off nicely.Zippy and zesty with a delicate, yet complex, nose on it… give it go, y’all!
