Call the Banners – 4th Year Anniversary Red Rye Lager (Aged on Oak)

It’s time, y’all… call in your banners, all of them.  Rally yourselves & your friends together and make the trek down here to the taproom to imbibe some lovely lagered libation

Built on a base of Gambrinus Mars malt (which gives this beer its ruby hue) with a stalwart supporting cast including: pilsner, carared, melanoidin, and three different kinds of rye malt for a myriad of gentle complexity. Spalter Select hops provide lend a light continental noble quality to the mix. The oft-used, and for good reason, Weihenstephaner (more commonly known as 34/70 for all the nerrrrrrrrrrrrds out there) yeast strain was utilized for a low n’ slow fermentation and subsequent lagering phase. And last, but certainly not least, we aged it all on a smack of oak for a wisp of wood-kissed enhancement. Time from grain to glass: 8 weeks.

Snag those banners and head on down this way for some pints of lager!
