Annunciation postcard writing event – in event space, $1.00 per beer goes to help the organization

Here’s a little background via the organization founder, Jen:
Shortly after the Annunciation school shooting this fall, my husband and I decided to invite friends/family over to our home one evening to write postcards to MN legislative members to ask them to pass measures to end gun violence.  Previously, I had never written to a representative before, so I put together a “tip sheet” that includes links to addresses, writing tips, current gun law info for MN, etc.  The overwhelming feedback was gratitude for doing all the leg work/research and providing a space and time to do this important work. People wanted to bring the tip sheet and postcards to their work, school, and neighborhoods. Since that night, we have distributed over 1,300 postcards. I have set up a basic website so people can access the tips and print-at-home postcards. actionformnkids.org

Our main goal is to help people who want to speak up but are intimidated by the process or lacking time/space to take action.
