Morel Mushroom Class w/ The Gentleman Forager

About the event
Join Gentleman Forager for a one-of-a-kind spring mushroom experience—part foraging class, part culinary event, and part social gathering.
Morel season is right around the corner, and this class is designed to give you the confidence to go out and actually find them. Along the way, you’ll also learn to identify other key spring mushrooms including oyster, pheasant back, chicken of the woods, and puffballs.
Hosted at Nine Mile Brewing Company, this immersive 3-hour experience blends expert instruction with a relaxed, food-driven atmosphere. Mushroom pizza and beverages are served throughout the class, creating a social, laid-back environment where you can learn, eat, and enjoy the experience all at the same time.
Guests will be treated to a rotating series of pizzas featuring morels, oyster mushrooms, and other “wild” ingredients—bringing the flavors of the forest directly to the table.
Led by professional forager and instructor Mike Kempenich, this is an open, interactive class where questions are encouraged throughout and answered with real-world, field-tested insight.
Whether you’re brand new to foraging or looking to sharpen your skills, this experience is designed to be both approachable and deeply informative—without losing the fun of it.
