The liquid partnership of beer and coffee strikes once more!
This iteration of our coffee-laden “Intermix Chamber” series is a American-style Brown Ale. Our stalwart pal and recurring beverage creation partner and roasting wizard, C.J., concocted the following, in his own words: “The coffee is equal parts Mexico, Brazil and Rwanda post roast blended (roasted separately to hit specific flavor notes and then blended together afterwards) and is a very nice, balanced blend of cocoa, roasted nuts, slight citrus, well rounded and full bodied.”
Built on a base of Golden Promise, with a supporting grist-cast of: Crystal DRC, Caramunich I, Pale Chocolate, and a sprinkle of Roasted Barley. A wisp of Helios hops keeps the malt balanced and in check. Our favored house ale yeast fermented it out nicely. And lastly, the star of the show, the aforementioned coffee was added and steeped for 24 hours before the beer was racked off into the brite tank to carb up and then get packaged for imbibing by y’all!
This also marks the 7th overall beer/coffee collaboration between C.J. and our Head Brewer, John, in their respective beverage careers, past and present. That’s pretty dang neat!
Swing on down to the taproom and get your daily dose of the best of both bevvy worlds!
