Come join the Nine Mile Volunteer crew – The Extra Mile – June 11th from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Harrison Park to reintroduce native species to the park.   We are partnering with the City of Bloomington in a two stage effort to restore some native plants to the area.   On Earth Day, a group from Nine Mile Watershed, The Bard of Beer, The City of Bloomington and several Nine Mile Brewing Company volunteers began the process by cleaning out buckthorn and down trees/limbs.   Now it is time to plant on June 11th.

All you need is a sturdy pair of shoes, gardening gloves and a couple of hours to help out.   All who participate will be able to enjoy a nice cold beverage at Nine Mile Brewing afterwards.   Water and snacks will be provided during the event.  We will be meeting in the Harrison Park parking lot around 10:15 AM.
